Our Aircraft
High Peaks Helicopters currently operates the Schwiezer model 300CB piston engine helicopter.  This two seat training helicopter provides one the most cost effective vertical lift solutions available today.  At nearly 1/3 of the operating costs of larger turbine models, the Schwiezer 300CB meets the needs of customers otherwise unable to afford the versatility provided by a helicopter. 

The S300 series helicopters are an industry leader in safety.  In 2002 they set the high water mark for light piston helicopters with 200,000 fatality free flight hours.  Its crashworthiness, large useful load, exceptional power margins, and sturdy airframe made it the primary training helicopter for the US Army for nearly 20 years. 

Unlike other two seat piston engine helicopters commonly used for flight training, the Schwiezer 300CB was built specifically for that purpose.  With controls and systems more closely resembling those of larger helicopters, the S300 best prepares students for the machines they will be flying later in their careers.  It is a very forgiving aircraft that allows students to achieve their licenses in an amount of time closer to the FAA minimum requirements.   The S300 has no SFARs or student pilot limitations associated with it because it is proven safe and effective, even in the hands of less experienced pilots.
